This is what we're made of---
such swirlings of pink and tan.
How could these creases and folds
cradle Shakespeare, the atom bomb,
cathedrals, civilizations, all that
ever was, all that ever will be:
every anger, happiness, hope, dream,
every breath, every pain, every fraction
of our soul, every awareness of our
own awareness?
Such fragility,
such simplicity
that I see, slicing down the center,
splitting apart the last vessel of the soul
to reveal its secrets. I breathe somberly---
a mere mortal observing all the
mysteries of our universe, the
center of our humanity.
Such fragility,
such simplicity,
such Order
I am drunk with
the Morning.
My skin laves in
golden light.
Slowly, slowly,
arise the people
from their beds,
a muttering or two
from their groggy mouths.
But I! I am fully awake, fully aware,
as my world unfolds itself before
my wondering eyes. I want to glorify,
I want to pray, I want to proclaim
all I see here: the sun dappling the rooftops,
reflecting in every window,
shining upon every patch of grass, every piece of cement,
in every corner of every sky,
upon every telephone wire
and every singing bird.
The peace it brings
is a peace of silence,
newness,
prayer;
An excellent peace.
And
in elementary school,
i was so special.
i had a special seat.
i had a special corner.
and a special class.
i was quiet, meek
and so well behaved
i was confused, yes
very confused
at first they told me
i was stupid
then they told me
i was smart
and still even now
i don't know
which side will win
and everyday
the genius tries to
strangle the idiot
but the idiot will not go away.

Hi guys! How are you?
So I've been really busy with my kind of boring life, and just wanted to stop by to give you guys an update!
How can a boring life be busy, you ask?
I have a job at McDonald's. It is terrible. Absolutely awful. The managers are so high-strung, the customers can be astoundingly mean and stupid, and doing your job is like undergoing Chinese water torture. I'm getting paid for it, though, so I tolerate it.
Still, I am looking forward to going back to college so much. SO much. I'd take essays and research papers in an instant over McDonald's.
But there still are good things happening in my life. I'm seeing friends on th
I'm so so so sorry I haven't been on here for a while...I was distracted by life. And tumblr. And there's really no excuse. But I'll be active once more! :)
Unfortunately, I have him again for a creative writing poetry class because even though he's really nice, he already knows I'm a total dork. XD (Not to mention that he's a professional poet, and my poetry is kind of shit.)
